The announcement was made during Uttarakhand Investor’s Summit and the Gyrocopter Safari will get its start at the end of the year. The Safari will start from Rishikesh.
Gyrocopters are like small helicopters with the difference that their blades are not run by a motor but by the rotor that creates free autorotation to give upward lift to the gyroplane.
This step towards Uttharakhand’s tourism development will give a new way to witness Himalayan beauty. It will be a thrilling, adventurous, and exhilarating experience for the tourists.
According to the CEO of a private sports company, Manish Saini, since 2014, their company has been running air safari in Rishikesh in collaboration with the state Government. Now the launch of Gyrocopter Safari in Uttarakhand will spread wings for adventure tourism in the state and it will be not only the first time in India but in South Asia.
The state Tourism Minister, Mr. Satpal Maharaj expressed the joy of fulfilling his commitment towards uplifting the adventurous sports in Uttarakhand and also rendering tourists with seamless and well-connected travel experiences. He also shared plans for making Adi Kailash and Om Parvat as Shiv Nagari and Corbett National Park and Sitabani the animal kingdoms of their kind.
According to Tourism Department Secretary, Mr Sachin Kurve, Uttarakhand is one of the safest places for female travelers and Tourism plays an important role in contributing to the GDP of the state as well as of the country.
The Gyrocopter Safari in Uttarakhand will start from Rishikesh and will allow you to witness the breathtaking view of Gangotri, Yamunotri, and the Himalayas while flying close to the ground. This adventure sports activity will leave tourists in awe.
The founder of Star Scape, Mr. Ramashish Ray also urged the government to study Uttarakhand’s potential towards Astro-tourism. As India has 64 observatories with one in Kasauni, making Uttarakhand a celestial hub will be a good idea from a developing astro-tourism and employment generation point of view in the state.
